Social Sciences in China Press (SSCP) is sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and publicizing six academic journals and one newspaper.

　　SSCP is seeking internships, part-time, full-time English Editors for its newly launched English Newspaper “World Academic News”. The position opens to both Chinese nationals and English native speakers. The positions are located in Beijing.

　　Basic Functions and Responsibilities:

　　●To work with the International Department to provide editing and copy-editing;

　　●To write original articles based on interviews or other resources;

　　●To plan layout-the process of fitting articles and graphics on a section’s pages;

　　●To be responsible for scheduling daily, weekly and monthly assignments; He or she consults with scholars and experts, hears pitches from writers, and assigns stories that be of interest to both readers and writers;

　　●To write dynamic and appealing story leads.

　　Required Qualifications:

　　●A professional qualification at graduate level or equivalent in related subjects like journalism, political science, English literature, history, law, economics, international relations and etc;

　　●A minimum of two years work experience in related field, preferably in media, research institutes and universities (only applies to full time applicants);

　　●To be able to work both independently and co-operatively within a team setting.
